Virtually identical to the Conventional wrapper design except that front wrappers no longer carry a Publisher's Stamp but instead sport a copyright statement which is often (but not always) placed where the Publisher's Stamp would have been. All copies reviewed to date state "Copyright, 1948" which suggests this wrapper design style probably emerged around then. No specific end date has been determined, but all wrappers reviewed so far do carry the "Edited by E. Haldeman-Julius" Series Editor Statement, suggesting that use of these wrappers was discontinued by 1952. On occasion, the copyright staement will also assert "Printed in U.S.A." which may suggest an earlier printing, although insufficient evidence exists to take this as fact.
